  • WPTools5 Grundsätzliche Fragen

    Hallo, erst mal wirklich tolles Produkt, sieht spitze aus.

    Allgemein
    Wir möchten WPTools5 in unser Produkt einbinden, um die Standard RTF-Text zu ersetzen.
    Wir werden uns die Premium Version zulegen, da da ja die Textboxen drinnen sind und auch der Sourcecode.
    Brauchen wir noch was spezielles, damit wir die Texte auch mit ReportBuilder drucken können ?
    Da wir auch wPDF haben, ist es doch kein Problem damit PDF's zu erzeugen?
    Ist alles was man im Demo sieht (bis auf den SpellChecker, da wollen wir den Addict verwenden, da wir diesen schon besitzen) als Sourcecode dabei (Ruler usw. möchte diese dann an unsere Designs anpassen)

    Fragen zu Felder/Variabeln
    *) Gibt es die Möglichkeit alle Funktionen mit Variabeln zu verwenden (Texte ersetzen, ....) OHNE eine visuelle Komponenten zu verwenden.
    *) Wenn ich ein Feld einfüge, kann ich desen Wert auch mit einem Formatierten RTF Text bzw später auch mit einem Formatierten WPT Text ersetzen ?
    *) Kann der ersetzende Text dann auch Tabellen und Bilder ... enthalten ?
    *) Kann ich ein Feld durch den Wert ersetzen, so das es danach kein Feld mehr ist sonder nur mehr der Text

    Verhalten
    *) Wenn ich ein Image/TextBox aus der Seite rausschiebe, kann ich es nicht mehr selektieren.
    *) Wenn man an letzter Position eine Tabelle einfügt, kann man nicht die Zeile darunter selektieren (mann kann den Cursor nicht aus der Tabelle raus eine Zeile drunter oder rechts neben die Tabelle stellen) Stattdessen muß man in eine der letzten Zeilen der Tabelle einen Text schreiben und Enter klicken, dadurch bleibt der Text in der Tabelle und eine neue Zeile ausserhalb der Tabelle wird ereugt.
    *) Wie kann eine Tabelle in einer Tabelle erzeugt werden ? Manschmal habe ich es hinbekommen, aber dann ruiniert er plötzlich beide Tabellen.
    *) Wenn man bei Grafiken/Textboxen den Wrapmodus umstellt verschiebt er ab und zu die Grafik ganz nach oben. Ist etwas umständlcih, wenn man die Textbox dann aus dem Auge verliert und hochscrollen muß.

    Please click with the right mousebutton on the image to get the context menu. There you can select the paragraph and page mode - and different wrap modes.
    Try to insert an image into the header (to create header and footer select: "Manage Header Footer" and add one), and make it 'page relative'.


    I just found the problem, in your demo "WPMultiDemo.exe" it doesn't work to move the files, i allready installed the trial and the compiled demo works fine.

  • Basic question

    What is the different between WPTools and WPTools Professional ?
    In the demo when i insert a Textbox, i get the info that this only works whit the PREMIUM version ?

    Exists a demo for "WPTools Report Builder Add-On" ?

    Is the WP Tools Professional the only product which includes 100 % Source (no DLL= ? If yes, i say that the Pro only exists for v4.0 Is this correct ?

    Additional: Am i to stupid for the demo application ? I can't get the images working (moving the image .... I can select them, insert images but can't move them relative to page or paragraph ...)

  • Problem with ReportBuilder

    Although wPDF uses for its canvas the SetViewProt api to change the logical resolution this does not change the value returned by GetDeviceCaps(aDC, LOGPIXELSX); . So you need to pass this otherwise to your code.


    It's no code from me, it's code from you (wppdfRBDev and ReportBuilder Itself), i only changed the resolution.

  • Problem with ReportBuilder

    If i print with REportBuilder to wPDF and i have a RTF in the REport, and the Resolution isn't set to 600, the print out doesn't look good.

    (the Rectangle for the RTF is very small, and the text after the RTF is printed very big !)

    In the ppDrwCmd the fucntion
    TppRTFEngine.FormatRange
    makes a call to GetDeviceCaps(aDC, LOGPIXELSX);
    and this returns 600 (but i think it should return 96 - the dpi i have set) or ?

    i am useing wPDF Version 2.10 - 18.05.2003

  • Bad image in RTF

    Is there an easy way to correct this or to restore the Graphic state after printing the RTF ?

    I print many RTF and after the RTF some lines and Text with simple Canvas function.
    All these function after the incorrect RTF will show very bad (until a new page is started)

    Is there a possibility to check the DC after i paint each RTF ?
    And call a RestoreDC if necessary ?

  • GetMetaFile

    I just tried out the GetMetaFile(PageNo) ... works fine, but it took some time to figure out, that the first page starts with 1 not with 0.

    By the way, does it help if we send you PDF which can not correct interrpreted ?

    One pdf (created with Ghostscript)
    *) The images can't be displayed
    *) One page the text can't be interpreted correct (some text overwrites other text)

  • Bad image in RTF

    I have a RTF with an image in it (was copied from the Internet - don't know what this image should be, i can't see anything (only a white place))

    But if i try to create a PDF with this RTF all elements after this RTF are printed very small. The next page prints fint.
    If i delete the image, all works fine.

    What's the matter with this image / PDF ?

  • Some basic questions

    Hello.

    I just downloaded pdfView und have some basic questions :
    *) I tried some PDF and found that not all work fine for example a PDF created with Adobe Acrobat Distiller 6.0
    -) The images are only a rectangle with a blue line
    -) Some bold text are now only "normal font"
    -) The enumeration (·) only show some curios chars.
    -) Tried to print it to Adobe Distiller - the Demo Application closed without an error and the print jobs was deleted ?

    *) Is it possible to copy some text (and images) from the pdf like in Adobe Acrobat ?

    *) Because there are some bugs, my final question is, did we get the full source code to can handle some things we are need ?
