Spellchecking and autotext

  • Hello

I am using the "USERDICT.DIC" where I have defined my own words.
I wonder if I can use this "USERDICT.DIC" as some kind of autotext?
I.e. I define that the two letters cc should be replaced with the word Cash & carry.
    (add a new line "=cc=cash & carry" in "USERDICT.DIC")
My intention is that when the user spells "cc" and then push spacebar, the words "cash & carry" will replace the letters "cc". Is this possible? If yes, how to do it?

    Hi,

currently WPSpell does not do auto text.

You can easily add this feature, including the ability to use makros and insert images (for example a scanned signature) using the event AfterCompleteWordEvent.

  • Thank you for your quick reply :-)
I also have another question regarding the dictionary. What is the maximum number of words? Does the dictionary/spellchecker handle a dictionary of 300.000 words?

My additional dictionary has 197.000 words - I'm using TextDynamic OCX, but I presume the underlying engine is the same. It works without a sweat.
