Hi,
Is there a reference of all features of the RTF specification supported by wRTF2PDF, i.e. which will not only be loaded by TextDynamic but also survives the conversion to PDF with no visible differences?
Currently we only do rtf-to-pdf converion.
Will there be a 64 bit version (x64) of the wRTF2PDF dll?
We are using TextDynamic Server from ASP.NET running on a 64-bit IIS and it is a bit frustrating that the whole application has to run in 32 bit mode just to enable rtf-to-pdf conversion, which is not even a main feature in the application.
Does Rtf2Pdf support nested tables, i.e. a table within a cell in another table? I get very strange formatting issues when I try to do this.
I managed to solve the problem by using png instead of windows metafiles. Seems like Rtf2Pdf has some issues with metafiles when running on Windows Server 2003.
MORE INFO: I tried to convert the same document using the demo application supplied and then it works, so the problem only occurs in web applications.
Could you please tell me how I use a "printer driver as drawing reference"?
Regards,
Robin Palm
The server has no printer installed at the moment but I guess it wouldn't be a problem to install one. Would that solve the problem or do I have to do something more to make it work?
We have this very strange problem that some of the images in an RTF file disappear (appear as empty space) when I convert it to PDF using RTF2PDF. This happens everytime in the production environment but as far as I know never in our development environment. It is always the same images that disappear. We run RTF2PDF in an ASP.NET 1.1 web application and the production server is a Windows Server 2003 Web Edition SP2 with an Intel XEON processor at 3.06 GHz and 384 MB of memory.
Dll versions are the following:
wRTF2PDF03.dll: 3.59.0.0
wPDF3.dll: 3.53.2665.25646
Any ideas?
Problem solved. The server had to be restarted.
I installed a truetype font (OCR-B 10 BT) on a Windows Server 2003 system and tried to use RTF2PDF converter from an ASP.NET application on a document containing this font. I set FontMode to 1 and expected the font to be embedded but insted Arial was embedded.
I tried the same thing on my development machine (Windows XP SP2) and it worked as expected.
I then tried using the DEMO app to convert the same document on the server machine and this also worked.
Could it be that fonts are only installed for some users under Windows Server 2003 and that the user ASP.NET is running under doesn't have access to the font.
