TextDynamic - new word processing component

    WPCubed TextDynamic is a new component (for dotNET and Visual Basic 6) which provides the developer with strong text editing and -creation capbilites. Special about TextDynamic is not only the strong RTF support (true header/footer, tables, nested tables, table header/footer rows, all usual character and paragraph attributes, paragraph styles, outlines, numbers and bullets) but also the included(!) HTML import and export. The user interface is customizable using XML scripts. It is even possible to change the glyphs which are displayed by the toolbars.

    I would like to know when the component will be available and the price. Will the component utilize all the features of the Microsoft windows rich text editor such as drag and drop of OLE objects that can be stored as links in the document? For example excel spreadsheets.

    Hi,

    The prices are now out (starting with EURO 265, spell option +80 etc)
    and the component can now be purchased. The "reporting" engine is under construction yet. (Suggestions are welcome)

    It currently does not handle OLE drag&drop. Currently only internal drag&drop works. OLE drag&drop is planned.

    OLE embedding is not planned for the near future. When a file with OLE objects is loaded the EMF representation (image) will be displayed.
