Anyone trying to use WpTools as an HTML-editor ?

Hi,

Is there anyone who, like me, is trying to use WpTools as an (alby limited) HTML-editor ?

Please send me a note. Maybe we can combine our findings ?

There are some issues (as WpTools is not an html-editor by design), but since WpTools v 6 I think it is the closest component on the Delphi market to offer HTML-editing in a wysiwyg environment.

Hope to hear from you soon ... Erik

My primary use of WPTools (and I've owned a copy since V3) is for email editing. Back then I decided it wasn't up to the job and bought PurposeSoft HTMLEdit but support was not acceptable and WPTools in its V6 version is pretty good.

I agree, I bought a license of the HtmlEdit component too. It looked promosing in the beginning, but support and development has stopped completely (as far as I know).

At the moment, the version 6 of WpTools (and I too have a license since version 2) looks promosing, but since I don't have the source (yet), I am a little stuck at the moment.

I was hoping to be able to try out the component completely before having to buy an upgrade (rather expensive if I should not be able to use it for whatever reason), but in order to proceed, I need the source code (I think), since I have found some issues.

I don't have the source because 1) its expensive and more importantly 2) any component this complex I just want to leave to its owner.

I'd report the issues you have to Julian probably to the support email. He's helped me a lot.
