Auto Save feature

How would you go to implement an autosave feature which would save the document every x minutes.

Is it safe to save while the user is typing ? or is there any sort of 'idle' event which could be used to find when it is safe to save a document.

Hi,

It is save to do this "while the user is typing" - unless you try to do it in a seperate thread (you should not)

You can use a TTimer for this.

In case the saving is time consuming you can add some code to OnChanging to check if the user is currently doing a lot.
