Cursor and font size issue (with screencast)

Our customers have been having problems with older versions of their WPTools letters. I have created a web cast of the issue that they have been having.

When the video first starts, I open a document which is titled "Evil Line". This is an RTF document that was created using WPTools 5. It contains both a header and a footer and the cursor is displaying as a very small cursor.

As you can see in the video, when I open the document, you can see the cursor appears to be VERY SMALL. I cannot type anything there.

When I click the DOWN arrow button, I move to the second line where the cursor appears to be only a fraction of the actual text size. Now the text size does not appear in the menu bar!

Why is the cursor appearing in a very small size and why when I type "testing" is no font size associated with the text? When I highlight the text, you can see the font-size is 11. When the cursor object is just inserted into the word however, no font size is selected.

What version do you have? I thought he fixed that small cursor thing in 5.22

May I ask what you used to create that video? Looks handy.

I have compiled the editor using 5.22.1. The document may be the issue (or the RTF). I just downloaded it yesterday and compiled it.

The screencast software is CamStudio.

Hi,

I expect that in the document a table is empty - you may send me the RTF code which was loaded.

I am also curious to know why the font size is not being selected on that first line as should be expected. Is it the same issue or is it a different one?

Hi,

no bug here 🙂

In your "evil line" document you have a nested table. The table you see is inside of a table you do not see. The editor automatically make the line before the inner table very small to hide it. So nested tables do not appear as ones which is what you usually expect (uniform borders).

I checked the file in Word - it is hiding the existence of this line to the user which I do not like either.

What about the font size not being recognized when "testing" is typed in?
