The following error came up when I tried to compile the Legacy CPP Builder application after upgrading from WPTools 4.22 to 6.0
[C++ Error] Wpdbrich.hpp(177): E2303 Type name expected
any idea what could be the reason for the error?

That HPP file has
__property HyperLinkEvent ;
her. That looks ok to my understanding. If the compiler did not create a HPP file correcty don't hesitate to change it or commant something out.

Thanks for the work around option, commenting out the following line in 'Wpdbrich.hpp' allow the compilation to go through.
line 177: __property OnPrepareImageForSaving ;
however the behavior of the TWPDBRicText component is no longer the same as version 4.22. The application is currently cannot convert the TWPDBRichText content in RTF form to a consistant Binary Stream!? I was wondering if commenting out the above line has anything to do with the problem I am currently facing?
There are also major differences between TWPDBRichText in ver 4.22 vs. 6.0 ( i.e. MemoryFormat, WriteBitMapMode) which I may have to resolve before getting the application to work as before.
FYI: The application convert the RichText content to a Binary Stream and uses the same concept in reverse to retrieve the RichText from a Binary File and update the database. Sort of a Make Shift Database Archival Tool

Note: the number of Bytes per RichText Content is Different from WPTools ver 4.22 vs. ver 6.0 (?)
