One cell table problem

in table has only one cell(one row and one column), when I have selected the first char and delete it, the table also is deleted.

yes, if the complete text is selected, that is interpreted as a selected cell.

if i select all text in the cell that is true. But i select first character in the cell text and press the delete key when delete the table.

for example i select "T" char and press the delete key.
