Premium and columns

Searching the forums I see that there are messages about how to get columns to work. The main web page describing the Premium version indicates that columns are yet to come. Which is correct please?

If columns are available, then I'd upgrade in a week or so. But they need to work!

I've been using the column feature for some time, and not only does it work, but it works wonderfully!

As with any powerful feature (and this certainly is one of the more powerful ones), while there may be a tweak or two needed here or there, my suggestion? GO for that upgrade!!! I know you'll appreciate it and enjoy it.

I was able to replace many hundreds of lines of code from an earlier version (WPTools 3) with a call here or there to the column-generating code.

The columns are working well, but I have one issue:
The first line on a multi-column report is empty. So I'm seeing:

five    ten
one     six     eleven
two     seven   twelve
three   eight   thirteen
four    nine    fourteen

Does anyone know how I can fix this? It just looks odd at the moment. Thanks!

I recall seeing this behavior as well.

I came up with a workaround, but so long ago (hard to believe, but it was back in 2004!), I'm having trouble finding it. I'm still looking...

Hi,

Next release will fix this issue and complete the column support. Columns will be loaded and saved in RTF as well. (No column balancing)

The column break flag now also behaves correctly and is saved as well.

Oooh - that's good. I'm still swamped with other tasks at the moment, so haven't even managed to run the code to get the sample yet.

I'll test the new build when I get back to it.
