RTL and Reviewing in WPTools

Hi,

I'm new to WP-Tools and I interested in it's powerful feature. I have some question that I like to ask:
1- Does WP-Tools support Right To Left? I download the example and as I see there, WP-Tools did not support Right To Left paragraph. Although I could type Arabic Chracter but there was no way to change paragraph direction to RTL.

2- If WP-Tools support RTL paragraph, does it support alignment justify for Arabic paragraphs?

3- Generally does WP-Tools is suitable for using in completely Right To Left software?

4- Does WP-Tools support Revisioning and Reviewing as for example MS-Word support? For example does it support "Track Changes" feature in MS-Word?

5- Is it possible to add comment to WP-Tools paragraph or text?

Regards

I'm sure Julian will come along shortly and give a good answer. . .

It does not currently support revisioning, but he has said he plans on adding it. Some of us are anxiously awaiting that.

You can insert objects which can have attached text. This is useful to store annotations.

Sorry, I could not get it. You only quoted my question. I could not get the answer, yet!

Julian's comments are in the << >> sections, and are mainly "No". Having once tried for two weeks to get a terminal app to work RTL properly (and LTR at the same time IIRC) I know it could never be easy and would be some major undertaking in a tool as complex as WPTools.

Hi,

sorry, I was fooled by the HTML code detection of this forum software. If you are using brackets you have to click on the check "disable HTML" which I forget sometimes.

1- Does WP-Tools support Right To Left? I download the example and as I see there, WP-Tools did not support Right To Left paragraph. Although I could type Arabic Chracter but there was no way to change paragraph direction to RTL.

No, the RTL support is experimental. The problem is the fact that the character widths change size depending on context.

The 4experimatela support can be switched on using WP.Memo.RTFSupport := true.

2- If WP-Tools support RTL paragraph, does it support alignment justify for Arabic paragraphs?

No, it will be right aligned only.

3- Generally does WP-Tools is suitable for using in completely Right To Left software?

No, there is a company who is using it as it is. But they have restricted the features available to the user.

4- Does WP-Tools support Revisioning and Reviewing as for example MS-Word support? For example does it support "Track Changes" feature in MS-Word?

Tracking changes is not supported.

5- Is it possible to add comment to WP-Tools paragraph or text?

Yes, the text obejcts can be used to add annotations. You would save the text inside of a text object and display a little object which shows the remark when the user clicks on it. There is also a demo which shows how to do it.
