wPDFView03.dll doesn't free

support

Hi,

I tried to reproduce this problem in an external form.

The DLL should be loaded once only and only freed at end.

V3.02 is now online.

Julian

FYI: I noticed this bug when the WPViewPDF component was not attached to the application's main form.

@gui:
Try to add:

if WPViewPDFDLLHandle <> 0 then
begin
  FreeLibrary(WPViewPDFDLLHandle);
//  f_set_lic := nil;
  WPViewPDFDLLHandle := 0;
end;

to your FormDestroy. It fixed the problem for me.

Worked for me too!thanks!!
Anyway, Julian, I use delphi 7, and placed the wpViewplus in a secondary form, instantiated runtime. I will prepare you an example.

Hi,

If you have an example project which shows this behavior I would be grateful. Although threading causes some trouble sometimes, there should be no problem with termination of the app.

Which compiler do You use?

Hi,

Yes, that was a mistake. It has been fixed this afternoon.
But the thread fix was also in the 7/18 build.

Hi,

I download the lastest version but I think there is a problem. The "exe" is dated of the 18/07/2011.

Hi,

Please use the latest build. There also was a problem that the thread wasn't closed.

We find a solution.

We add " WPViewPDF.DLLName:=''; " in the form destroy. In this case the dll is free before the destroy of the application and it works.

Maybe not the best way but works.

it seems that it comes from the uses. If I call "AdvObj" or another unit who call "AdvObj" like "BaseGrid" of the TMSpack the dll doesn't free.
If I remove those call it works.

I can confirm this problem too.

Hi,

I have a problem with the version 3 of wPDFView. When I close the application, the dll is not free and the my application's process stay start.

In the finalization section of the WPViewPDF3 unit, it stay stuck in "FreeLibrary(WPViewPDFDLLHandle)".

Any idea ?

Thanx

Florent

Edit: I clarify that i hadn't this problem with the version 2
