"After altering the {$IFDEF VER360} to {$IFDEF VER370}. the installation process of the .dpk project works fine. Hurrey."

Das ist was ich oben gemeint habe, wenn auch in einer Kopie des Textes. Sorry für das Problem in setup script.

Nu aber mal Butter bei die Fische ....

I assume in your computer the file WPINC.INC was not overwritten by the setup and so you use the old version. <<<

I un-installed the whole component and deleted the installation directory. After re-installation the WPINC.INC is dated 27.03.2025 and does really not mention {$IFDEF VER370} but only {$IFDEF VER360}.

After altering the {$IFDEF VER360} to {$IFDEF VER370}. the installation process of the .dpk project works fine. Hurrey.

But still remains as a residue the impression that the setup-Program does not provide the proper files for Florence. ;-/

I assume in your computer the file WPINC.INC was not overwritten by the setup and so you use the old version.

In the file WPINC.INC the symbol DELPHIXE should be defined.

You can find the section

{$IFDEF VER350} ....

copy the whold section and make it

{$IFDEF VER370}

Sorry I'm not a Delphi pundit!

When I change {$IDEF DELPHIXE} to {$IFDEF VER370} the the unit compiles fine but at the very end after many exchanges of this expression dircetive the compiler runs in a much more brutal error.

Please advice.

I install since many years all components to C:\DelphiComp\WpTools

DXIII is in the library 32 bit path. I opened WPTools9_Delphi_13_Pack_DS.dpk and try to install.

The compiler-directive seems not to work properly and wants to use the Unit Windows which is not available in Delphi 13

{$IFDEF DELPHIXE} does not work in the Delphi 13 (Florence).

I get the error message

Compilieren von WPTools9_Delphi_13_Pack_DS.dproj (Debug, Win32)
dcc32 Befehlszeile für "WPTools9_Delphi_13_Pack_DS.dpk"
[dcc32 Fataler Fehler] WPTools_Reg.pas(73): F2613 Unit 'Windows' nicht gefunden.

I think you mean Delphi 13.

WPTools9Manual.pdf has been updated in october.

Delphi 13 works just like Delphi 12. To install you need to go to the right directory and open the DPK file. You need to compile and install it.

Do notinstall WPTools (or any component) under "Program Files". This causes problems because those directories are not writable without admin rights.

As documented the directory for Delphi 13 is WPTools\DXIII

this is the one which should be under "Library" or in the search path.

Since you have the PRO version it should compile just fine. But when you open the library Delphi will always throw warnings that units are included automatically. This is normal. (To avoid this, the units would have to be added to the project which causes a reference to DFMs which require the libary to be installed - not a good idea.)

If Delphi show a form that controls are not known to the IDE, ALWAYS press "Cancel" and not "Ignore". Othewise the DFM will be modified.

BPLs are not shipped with the installation. That would bloat the setup even more.

I use WPtools since 22 years. But I've never had that much errors trying to install the .bpl file.

Lots of errors ocure. Although the path to the library is included. And the help manual is dated 2023 and does not mention XE13.

brgds. alex.
