WPViewPDF 6.01.0.0 release 24.7.2026

NEW embedded font engine for TTF
NEW embedded font engine for PostScript fonts
NEW embedded, original JPEG 2000 decoder
NEW embedded, original JBIG2 decoder

With these additions, WPViewPDF no longer relies on external DLLs,
only the WPViewPDF 6 DLL is required. This makes the whole product safer
and programs using it significantly easier to deploy.

We have thoroughly tested our new font engine with a wide range of PDF files.
To verify accuracy, we compared synchronized output in different colors against the
previous FreeType/AGG‑based renderer. Any discrepancies identified were corrected
at the source. However, because this is a completely new engine, we kindly ask for
your assistance in verifying that font rendering is flawless. The new text rendering
engine is intended to be 100% accurate.
If you encounter any issues with text output, please send us sample files so we can investigate.

Please note that JBIG2 and JPEG 2000 are highly complex formats and not ideal for
long‑term data preservation—they effectively embed another compressed document format
inside your PDF. Because of the complexity, the decoders are not included in the WPViewPDF source code license.

--> NO MORE ADDITIONAL DLLS NEEDED

  • much improved text extraction which also creates tab stop characters
  • improved ColorSpace handling
