Hi,
Actually WPTools is used different strategies when it takes the format.
This is done by TextCursor.GetCharAttr - in WPRTEDefs and can be modified in the PRO version (with source).
Julian
and how can this be done?
Why would you want to change it?
I find the way word does it annoying.
If you have a text
aaaa fffff aaaaa
and you type "NNNN" in Word You get
aaaa NNNNfffff aaaaa
in WPTools You get
aaaa NNNNfffff aaaaa
and also
aaaa fffffNNNN aaaaa
since WPTools checks for the space and uses the previous attribute.

If we're taking a vote, I have to side with ske on this one. I like consistency, and having the font *always* take on the font attributes of the previous character (including spaces) is consistent. WPTools logic makes one think about what is going to happen... and thinking is not always in my customers best interest ;)
Just my 2 cents.
Eric
Hi,
the consistency is: it takes the attibute of the character which is next in the written word with a precedence to the next character.
The way MS-Word is handling it is just annoying.
Julian
:) I hear you :)
Just that customers who use both Word and our product would like consistency. Can we get Microsoft to change their behaviour? ;)
