Skipping a table

Let's say I am working through a document in code, but I want to skip tables. How do I loop through the document so that when the loop encounters a table, the table is skipped, and the code is pointing at the first paragraph after the table?

I think the code you share here to show me how will also serve to teach me a few things about working with tables in general!

Thank you for this! So (deceptively) simple.

I will never let you see some of my twisted attempts at solving this, involving nested loops and transient variables and and and. Well, unless you feel like a laugh some time, maybe then I'll share it with you... <g>.
