How to convert RTF to PDF

Q: I need to convert an RTF file to PDF.

A: Using the library wRTF2PDF (WPCubed GmbH) you can convert RTF (but also HTML and TXT files) into PDF. You can also convert RTF to HTM or HTM to RTF or save each page in a document as an image file!

This all is possible in the new version wRTF2PDF V3.5 - please see the demo server http://www.rtf-net.com which shows life examples.

Load the file first and then export it to PDF:

  • Hi,

We are currently using wPDF, and we're also looking at WPViewPDF to allow us to concatenate PDF files.

We'd like to be able to convert RTF files to PDF as well - will either of these two products do it at all? Alternatively, is it possible to concatenate PDF files using wPDF or RTF2PDF?

Using wPDF I've been able to convert simple RTF files using RichEdit controls, but it all falls over as soon as page breaks are introduced.

Can you suggest a method I can use to preserve the page breaks? Or are we stuck without this feature if we don't have RTF2PDF?

    Thankyou.

  • Hi Julian,

WPViewPDF Plus seems to do what we need as far as concatenating the PDFs, but I was just wondering if wPDF could do the same job as RTF2PDF. After playing with it, it seems that RTF2PDF handles the RTFs (page breaks/page orientation/images/tables) far better than using RichEdits in combination with wPDF.

I've sent you an email about these products anyway.

    Thanks for your help.
