Hi,
Delphi 2010 Support is not planned for WPTools 5 or WPTools 4,
it will be in WPTools 6.
Kind Regards,
Julian Ziersch
Any reason why?? Ist it because of unicode usage in D2010? (question applies to V5, not to V4!!)
Hi,
1) Delphi 2009 (unicode) support has been provided with WPTools 5 PRO only, since the unicode changes created a lot (!) of work.
2) WPTools 5 was born 14.6.2004. One of the last service relases was posted a few weeks ago, this is five years after the initial release! WPTools 6 provides a clean and easy upgrade path from WPTools 5. I see no reason not to take this path.

Julian
Zitat von wpsupportI see no reason not to take this path.
Money?
I have the V5 registered as a hobby programmer and the update to D2010 together with an possible update of WPTools is simply too expensive. (i am glad that other component sets i use are already ready for D2010 without the need of an extra update,,,)
Hi,
I understand Your point - but I also think the WPTools upgrading options were always very fair. In April 2005 the upgrade V4->V5 was €135.

I'm also a hobby programmer. I've owned a STD licence for V3, V4, V5 and now V6. What would it cost me to upgrade to a unicode enabled version? I ask because I can't spot it on your upgrades page. It might be there I just can't spot it.
Hi,
You are fine, WPTools 6 is the unicode enabled version. But Delphi 2010 is not yet final.

Hi,
it will be there pretty soon. I have WPTools 6 already running under Delphi 2010. I want to add more stuff before the next release. Also the install procedure requires an adaptation.

Julian
Hi,
WPTools 6 customers can now download V6.05.9 with Delphi 2010 support.
WPTools 6 for Delphi 2010 DEMO is available here
